BOOK SALES

In-Library Book Sales
You can find the FLL book sale area on the lower level right at the bottom of the stairs. All books are available by donation ("pay what you will") in order to be accessible to all library customers. A cash box is adjacent to the sale to accept your checks or cash. Venmo is also an option: @friendslanglib. Your donations support the Langley Library—thank you for your generosity!

Book Donations
Your book donations make our sale possible! If your schedule allows, please drop off your donations with our book sale managers on Wednesdays* between 11:00am and 1:00pm in the book sale area. At other times, staff can accept small quantities on our behalf.

*Beginning April 2, 2026, our book sale managers will accept book donations on Thursdays from 1:00pm - 2:00pm (formerly Wednesdays).

We are currently most in need of quality fiction!

All books must be in new or good used condition. When in doubt, ask yourself, "Would I give this to a friend? Would I want to receive this?"

When selecting books to donate, please consider the following criteria:

ITEMS ACCEPTED

Fiction and Nonfiction, 2000 or newer
Cookbooks, gardening, hobbies, biographies, and nice coffee table books
Children's books

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED

Encyclopedias, text books, tech manuals, dictionaries, travel books older than 5 years
Torn, damaged, or musty books
VHS, cassette tapes, DVDs, and CDs
Magazines
Hardcovers missing their original covering
